Max's New Home!First of all I wish to thank you sincerely for your efforts in the rehoming project of Max. I just love the big galoot. At the same time, I feel the pain of Paula for having to give up her boy. Paula and Tom were very up front and honest with me in describing Max and his quirks. I can say with all honesty that it seemed like Max never missed a beat coming on board with me. The exchange went much, much better than I could have ever hoped it would. The first night and every night since, he has slept on his bed on the floor right beside mine. My Jack Russell had to advise Max that the big bed with Mom was hers and he was not allowed. Apparently, she was forceful as he only tried it twice. Max doesn't seem to have much patience when it comes time to eat. When I'm getting the food dishes ready and their pills he seems to think I am too slow in getting the food on to the table and he becomes rather vocal. We are working on a down, stay and quit your grumbling and gaining ground daily. He is learning his manners about waiting until the females are out or in the door first, but has to test me every time to see if I really am going to enforce the rules. I find many of his traits similar to my much loved Rottweiller of years past. Again, my sincere gratitude to you and the Entle Rescue Group for all your devotion to the breed and to our faithful companions. Very best regards, |
