Jase is home!

We found JayDee (now Jase) on Petfinder.com. After submitting an application to adopt him, the shelter told us that they did not adopt out of state (the shelter is in Florida). After some persuading and a little help from NEMDA, we were finally approved to adopt him. Jase arrived home on September 1, 2006. He fit right in with his two doggie siblings (Dakota the Samoyed and Striker the Beagle). He definitely brings a lot of energy to the house and really enjoys his daily walks and frequent excursions to the bark park. He enjoys chewing on bones and loves to play fetch and chase his squeeky toys.

Jase will enjoy hiking and camping on the weekends in Colorado during the summer and playing in the snow in the winter. We can't wait for him to see his first snow (should be any day now) since he was born and raised in Florida.

Update: About a week and a half after arriving home to Colorado, Jase lost one of his siblings (Dakota the Samoyed). Dakota became ill and tests revealed that his kidneys had failed. Rest in Peace Cody Bear.
