Breed RegistryNEMDA offers a Breed Pedigree Registry and a DNA Identification Registry to all North American Entlebucher owners and breeders. Pedigrees generated by the NEMDA Registry are carefully researched and documented. Participation in these Registries are mandatory for NEMDA BCOE Breeders. The Registries are also available for all NEMDA members and nonmembers. Permanent identification is a strict requirement for the registry. Permanent identification can be in the form of a Nationally recognized micro chip or a tattoo from a Federation Cynologic Internationale (FCI) registered tattoo series. The NEMDA Registry accepts and recognizes only pedigrees generated by FCI Partners. In October 2001, the NEMDA Breed Club and Registry were officially recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club as the United States based foreign Breed Club and Registry for the Entlebucher. All Entlebuchers with a NEMDA 4 generation pedigree can obtain a Canadian Kennel Club Registration and thereby FCI recognized Registration since the CKC is an FCI Partner. All Entlebuchers imported into the United States with an FCI Partner Registration must have NEMDA Registration prior to seeking Canadian Kennel Club Registration. Profit proceeds from the NEMDA Registry are earmarked for medical research which directly affect the Entlebucher Breed. Please address all correspondence to the Registry in writing. Thank-you to everyone for your support. Rebecca Hahn, DVM |
