Upcoming Events

Entlefest is NEMDA’s big annual 3-day event for North America. All Entlebuchers and their families are invited. Activities often include conformation shows, herding, agility, Canine Good Citizen tests, fun games with the dogs and lots of great food and more! Make your plans early and set aside time for Entlefest!

Entle Days are smaller regional events that give Entlebucher owners a chance to meet other Entlebuchers in their community. They also include a variety of activities to enjoy with your Entle. Entle Day Form (PDF)

Maifest events are coordinated by NEMDA with other Swiss Dog clubs including the Greater Swiss and the Bernese Mountain Dog Clubs. Maifest is a celebration of Spring with maypole dancing, beer gardens, Tyrolian dancing, great food, and a wonderful parade in which all Swiss breeds participate. Many events include festivities with Bavarian costumes, decorated carts, Entles wearing garlands, Swiss scarves, saddle bags, and Bavarian harnesses.

NEMDA encourages Entlebucher owners to participate in dog sports through dog trials and conformation shows. All five Swiss breeds are invited to annual Swiss Events and NEMDA works with other Swiss Dog clubs to strengthen the bond between our dogs and their Swiss heritage.
