New England Entle Day - January 29, 2006

Fourteen humans and their eight, lucky Swiss dogs (6 Entlebuchers and 2 Greater Swiss) celebrated the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Dog at Cat Rock Park in Weston, Massachusetts, at the fourth annual New England Entle Day on January 29th. Despite overcast skies and then rain, participants gamely frolicked in the snow, got to know each other, and hiked, even summiting the icy and steep, former ski slope. They also shared delicious homemade brownies and other baked goods, hot chocolate, cider, and freshly baked gourmet dog treats. There was talk of getting together for a barbeque in the summer time, so stay tuned for more information after the spring mud season.
